Update

So I know that I haven't written in a little while but it is partly because I wasn't sure what to say. Kevin and I are still going out on dates. :) So we see a each other a couple days a week. So I guess technically I would have to say I have a boyfriend.... ahhh! That is pretty crazy. I am going to meet his all of his friends this weekend, which is a little intimidating. The crazy part is he is a VERY sweet guy. I think the reason I was having such a hard time before is I couldn't trust that he was really nice. However, he is not just nice and sweet to me but to everyone else around us. So I am committed to NOT analyzing every little thing and just having a good time. Which is sometimes hard for me but I am having more fun cause I am just relaxing. But it kind of freaks me out a little. So for now I am just enjoying my time.Oh yea he took me to the Rascal Flatts concert. He had purchased tickets up in the upper bowl but there was a curtain there and so they moved us down to the 4th row. We had the best seats and had a ton of fun. It was amazing!

Ripped pants

So I was at work this week and had been down at a meeting in American Fork. As I was leaving and got in my car something didn't feel quite right. However, I drove back up to SLC and didn't think anything about it until later, when my supervisor said something. What she said was "do you realize your britches are torn?" Of course I said no and then stuck my hand on the back of my pants and felt a HUGE rip. Oh the joys of my life.

Eharmony

So I signed up for Eharmony and had my first date from it last week. Sorry I didn't blog sooner but I went on vacation. So he was a super sweet guy. In our emails before hand he had asked a lot of my favorites. So he showed up at the door with gerber daisies....my favorite flowers. He opened all the doors for me and led me in the rooms etc. He was a perfect gentleman. It was really great. But I am not sure what I think... so I don't know whether I should go out with him again or not. I haven't decided. So we went out to dinner and then a movie, he took me to Bride Wars, definitely trying to win points. Then as we were leaving the movie he rubbed his eye and lost his contact. He found it for a second and then lost it again. It wasn't even like I could really assist him in looking for it because it fell into his lap. AWKWARD! so then he couldn't really see and was trying to drive. So I told him I would run him home so he could get his glasses and then he could drive me home. He finally agreed cause he couldn't see. So I ended up driving him home to Bountiful and then he drove me back. So it was kind of humorous. He wanted to kiss me at least I think so, but I wasn't there so he kissed me on the forehead. He was a super nice guy and I had a good time but I don't know that I feel it. So I also have to retract what I have told to a lot of people. I have said that if a guy wants to kiss me I am going to kiss him. That didn't happen. So I guess I will kiss a guy sometimes but not all the time... who knows. Oh the joys... nice guy, great date, not really sure. So I think I am done.... dang.

Can guys and girls be just friends?

The debate for the day entails whether guys and girls can be just friends. One friend argues yes but you have to go through the awkward figuring out phase. Another, says YES, I have tons of friends. I say, if you know you don't have a chance then you can just be friends.... not to say that I don't have some guy friends that I know there is no chance that I am not completely attracted to. There are several guy friends that I am just friends with and we talk about who they are interested in but I would still TOTALLY make out with them if they wanted to. :) So what do you think.... can guys and girls be just friends, or are they attracted to each other in some way with the hopes that something more can be there?

Gym, eating... ugh

So I have been making some new friends at church and we had a stake FHE tonight. I had spent 2.5 hours at the gym today at different times and was determined that I was not going to ruin this hard work with eating the delightful treats. So I was sitting by one of my new friends and the activity was "singled out" to get a date or something. One of the questions was are you a junk food junkie or a health food addict. He said he thought I was a health food addict. I was quite surprised and some what delighted. I had to then explain that NO this was a new thing me not pigging out on the deserets, but that I was definitely trying. My personal trainer is kicking my butt each and every time. I tell him almost every time that I hate him and he reminds me that I will love him in June. And seriously how many cute boys that I know do I need to run into at the gym when I am all red, sweaty and gross! Come on.... I guess maybe I need to look at going at a different time. But could I look any grosser. Oh well. I love having to smile and wave as I can barely breathe and my trainer is telling me to keep moving. Oh the joys of working on getting in shape. Someday I will be there and then I won't care about the awkward moments at the gym.

Dadman

For those of you who have not heard my Dad is getting married! I am really excited for him. Vicki is an amazing woman who I already love. They are getting married Feb 21st in the Timpanogos Temple. My dad is selling his house, which is a little hard and they will be living in Alpine... which is closer to me so that makes me happy. Overall I am really excited. Sometimes it is a little hard because the reason my dad can get married is because my mom is gone. But I love Vicki and am grateful for her and the part she is, and is going to play in my life and especially my dad's.

On another note.... I am still awkward. Especially when it comes to boys. And there is sooo much drama always involved with the male species. As I talk to friends in my ward and other singles it just is a complicated mess most of the time. When do you let someone know that you could possible or are interested in them. Do you get to be friends first and then go for being interested? But once you are a friend do you get stuck into the friend zone and possible never be able to make the transition. So many problems and complications. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be better to still have arranged marriages, but then I think... No thank you! So I continue to plug along try and figure out how to interact with the male species... to be friends or put the flirt on. And even when the flirt is on.... am I already in the friend zone. :)
