A day at the farm... and some dinosaurs.

I watch Danniqa's little sister Olivia while Jamie, Danni's mom, works right now. So Jamie pays me and then the sisters can be together. We went down to Thanksgiving point this week and went to the farm and to the dinosaur muesum. Here are a few highlights.

Sitting on a bench, looking at the animals and of course going on the horse merry-go-round. Oh what fun!

Went for a tractor ride/wagon ride

milk a cow and have water come out. Push the sister in the stroller at break neck speeds and get put into jail... how could it be a better day at the farm.

There are a few things that are must when we go to the dinosaur muesum, we have a season pass, they include playing dinosaur games on the computer, looking in the sharks mouth and running in and out of the little tunnels.

Danni loves digging in the sand to find the dinosaur bones. I tried several times to put Livie in but she wanted nothing to do with it.

Preschool project

So Danni came home from school and they were going to be having a rodeo. So she needed a stick horse. Now the instructions where simple and I could have taped a picture of a horse on a stick.... but oh no. I decided that I loved the stick horses we had as a kid and that I needed to make one for Danni. However, even with a week and a half notice I put it off til the night before. I could not find a pattern at any fabric store. So I randomly purchesed what I thought I would need. I then came home and took a pen to the fabric drawing a head of a horse. I tried sewing it on the sewing machine but I am not very good at sewing and the fabric was to thick and everything kept getting all stuck. So I stayed up and stitched it by hand.

However, as I finished I realized I hadn't purchased anything for the eyeballs. When I was taking Danni to school she was very distraught that her horse did not have eyes. So luckily Miss Teia, Danni's teacher saved the day and glued some buttons on for eyes. Here is a picture of the horse... without eyes of course.

I think I did ok for a first time little project :)

General Conference

To this date we have only had Danni at church with us once. However, I am always looking ofr things to teach her about church topics. So I got an email today and it had some great links so i thought I would share. This is mostly how to make General Conference more meaningful with little kids. Also I have picked up file folder activities for church and Danni loves them. Anyway here are some of the links.
